Who: Jennifer Hudson
Why: I absolutely, positively LOVE LOVE LOVE this girl! She’s curvy, she’s gorgeous, she’s humble, and she’s a newcomer to the industry. I don’t get “I’m a Diva” from her AT ALL, which is truely rare. She’s won EVERY single award she’d been nominated for - one can only assume she’s sure to win the Oscar as well. Eat your heart out American Idol. Jennifer Hudson made it to the top without you.

What’s worse than being freezing cold? Looking like you’re freezing cold. I hate the cold-and-pasty look my face gets during those incredibly harsh NYC winters…
Here’s my quick fix trick. Instead of cleansing your face with a foam or gel (both are typically better for the spring/summer), use a cream. If you have normal/dry/sensitive skin, generally a cream will double as a mositurizer for you, since this type of cleanser is on the heavier side - plus most creams won’t leave your face with that air-tight, bone-dry feeling. My tried-and-true favorite is Noxzema Original.
Then, go straight for a liquid bronzer. Anything liquid is a natural hydrator, so the good thing is they’ll pick up the slack you may have missed by skipping the moisturizer, plus give you some color on a dull winter day. My favorite? Nars Body Glow. It smells good, works on ALL parts of the body (including the face), lasts throughout the day, and it’s affordable.

If you MUST use a moisturizer, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector is the way to go. It’s a tinted mositurizer/foundation, so you’ll get that glowing, dewy look. Plus it’s got SPF 20+, so it protects you from those pesky UVA/UVB rays (not that you’ll get many in the winter though).
Enjoy!

Who: Courteney Cox
Why: As the übervicious, gossip-thirsty editrix Lucy Spiller of the fictious tabloid Dirt, airing everyone’s dirty laundry is her claim to fame. Scandal and slander and drama, oh my! Plus she looks damn good doing it - piercing blue eyes, sleek coffee-hued tresses, a fabulous flushed face - what more could anyone else ask for on an otherwise dull Tuesday evening?
When: Every Tuesday night at 10 PM, on FX.

Sephora is to me what Tiffany’s is to Holly Golightly; it’s the place I want to go when it’s all over and done. Anytime I’m bored, whenever I go through a break-up, whenever I miss my family, whenever I leave the gym, anytime I’m feeling sad and blue and bloated (hee hee), pretty much anytime I feel like being in my own little Wonderland world. Yup. Alice in Wonderland, meet India-Jewel in Sephora.
For those of you who love all things beauty as much as me, Sephora and Monopoly have found a way to make looking good even more fun. MONOPOLY: Sephora Edition is the perfect board game for a girls’ night in. Go to jail for a bad hair day, pay for your beauty booty with Beauty Bucks, and basically build your own Sephora store! For $29, I’d say that’s one hell of a bargain.
