I must say, absolutely no one can be more excited for the long-awaited arrival of summer than me. I love summer. Like, LOVE. It’s my favorite season. It’s only befitting that the scent of the week be CK One Summer. It’s a sparkling citrus woody scent; notes include fresh squeezed grapefruit, orange pulp, mandarin, watermelon, watermint, orange flower, ginger, marigold, sun-bleached woods, creamy vanilla, vetiver, orris, and guaiacwood. Retail price is $40 for the eau de toilette, and $20 for the skin moisturizer. Very affordable! Look for it in department stores beginning in May - its limited edition so I’m sure this will fly off the shelves super fast.

ICYDK, Fantastic Four actress Jessica Alba will join Halle Berry, Eva Mendes, Kate Bosworth, Sheryl Crow, and Susan Sarandon as the newest celebrity face of Revlon Cosmetics, Revlon 3D Extreme Mascara to be exact. Expect to see her ads soon on the internet, TV, and in print.

Honestly, I wonder how ths news got kept under wraps? I didn’t even find out until I saw pics of her filming the commercial last week in L.A.”I’m honored to be joining the Revlon family,” says Jessica Alba. “Revlon celebrates diverse, dynamic women of every walk of life and I’m proud to be associated with a company that is so involved with women’s causes and issues.”

Who: Actress Gabrielle Union. Next up – she’s set to star in Football Wives on ABC this fall. I bet this show is gonna rock – the British version, Footballer’s Wives is OUT OF CONTROL.

Why: She’s the girl I LOVE to hate. I ran into her a few nights ago at Room Service (a nightclub here in Manhattan), and she was R.I.D.I.C.U.L.O.U.S.Y. beautiful. Like, ridiculously. It was 1 am (I repeat, in a Manhattan nightclub) and she wasn’t wearing an ounce of makeup – no foundation, no lip gloss, not even mascara, and she still looked like she’s just stepped off of the red carpet. Flawless skin, a heart-warming smile, and an overly kind demeanor – GLAM Girl material indeed.

Konichiwa chicas!

I spent yesterday evening strolling around the most fashionable launch party in town, given by The Gap, the CFDA, and Vogue Magazine. Let me tell you, if you’ve never been to this type of swanky fashion soiree, you’re missing out. Champagne flows freely, appetizers are served on silver platters, reporters and editors chit-chat amongst themselves, models air-kiss one another, celebutantes are constantly followed by flick-hungry photographers – it’s really like a scene from The Devil Wears Prada. They’re always a tad bit pretentious, but super fun nevertheless. Held in the bar of the not-yet-opened Bowery Hotel, I spied with my little eye, Vogue editrix Anna Wintour, actress Tracee Ellis Ross, model Irina Lazareanu (Kate Moss’s BFF), designers Thakoon Panichgul, Doo.Ri Chung, Kate & Laura Mulleavy of Rodarte, Tory Burch, and Richard Chai. Also in the mix – Ivanka Trump, (who’s much taller than I would have ever guessed), and a few of the models from the May cover of Vogue, including my favorite - Chanel Iman.

My thoughts on the cover? G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S. Masculine femininty at it’s finest - I think it’s equastrian chic meets sweet southern belle. Several variations of the classic white button-down shirts paired with full bright skirts and heels - GENIUS!
