Gotta Get to Tokyo: Shu Uemura Lash Bar

note-to-self.jpg

Nestled in the totally trendy Omotesando district of Tokyo (right in front of the Omotesando subway station), this over-the-top lash bar offers art for the eyes and fashion for your lashes. Whatever you want, they’ve got it: polka dot, peacock feathers, turquoise, or metallic; they’ve even got a mink and diamond set (that retails for $10,000!) Could falsies possibly be anymore fabulous?

All of my loyal Blush readers know of my deep affinity for all things lashes, but come on – this takes the cake. Here’s the deal:

————————-
1. Each lash is handmade and they’re virtually weightless (though they look like they’d weight a ton.)
2. The staff is highly trained in lash application. They help you choose a set, trim each lash to fit your eyes to a tee, and walk you through the steps of effectively applying falsies.
3. All lashes retail for $13 to $43 (except for the diamond/mink set).
——————————-

While you can purchase some of these lashes at Shu Uemura counters across the globe – I think the experience of actually being under the roof of the Tokyo Lash Bar makes donning a set of their avant garde lashes extra special. Whenever I make my way to Tokyo, I’ll definitely be indulging my eyes in a world of dramatic extravagance… I’m thinking peacock feathers. What type of glitzy lashes would you get?
