Talk About Locks of Love: Hilary Swank to Donate Her Hair

Pantene Pro-V in collaboration with the Entertainment Industry Foundation’s Women’s Cancer Research Fund has made America’s favorite ‘it-girl’ of strength and determination, Hilary Swank, the new spokesmodel for the Beautiful Lengths Campaign. Launching in 2006, this campaign has already yielded 17,000 ponytail donations; as a result 2,000 wigs have been distributed to cancer patients free of cost.

During her time as the face of Beautiful Lengths, Swank will be joining the hundreds of other volunteers in cutting her locks. “I am proud to be asked to promote the goals of such a unique program”, says Hilary Swank.

This is a movement we can all feel good about; think you may want to participate? (Please note that hair must be at least eight inches to qualify for donation.)
