Did You Know #4756: What To Do When You HATE Your Haircut
By INDIA-JEWEL JACKSON 08.21.2007 imt
GlamBlush Disclaimer: I have jet black super curly hair. I once cut my own bangs when I was living in London a nd didn’t know a hairstylist that I could trust. I ended up looking like Rick James. Never again! Unfortunately, most women experience at least one nightmare-inducing haircut in their lifetime and they’re forced to do one of the following: 1) Live through it, But there’s a fourth option! Stylist Jet Rhys offers these three tips: - If the stylist cut off all your length, buy some hair wefts. Hair wefts, which are panels of hair, are simply magnificent because you can clip them in yourself. Simply snap the pieces into place around the head, under a layer of hair. Four wefts should do the trick! They will create dimension, volume and add length; you can also style them easily, with a flat iron or hot rollers. - Did your stylist over layer or over-texture your hair? Have your colorist under color your mane! It’s a “thick hair” trick! The bottom layers will be colored two shades darker than the rest. This technique instantly creates an illusion of depth, so your hair will look fuller instantly! - Too short bangs can sit on your forehead like a paintbrush. To fix, simply take cuticle scissors, point the blades upwards towards the sky and take baby snips to the edges. The bluntness will be thinned out, while simultaneously reducing the weight of the line. With thinner ends, your bangs will be easier to sweep in with the rest of your hair. For all of you currently suffering, hope this helps!!! Visit Jet Rhys Online for more great hair snafu tips!
