Backstage Beauty Report: L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani
By INDIA-JEWEL JACKSON 09.05.2007
The Designer: L.A.M.B. by Gwen Stefani The Look: A Sexy 60s London School Marm Makeup by Charlotte Tilbury of MAC. The eyes took centerstage! Very sixties inspired mod – think Barbara Striesand in Funny Girl. It was very smoky, yet carved and precise. Pile on lots of lashes and coat after coat of mascara, and you’ve got the look! BTW, lips were super-soft; barely there, and the skin was lightly brushed with a hint of bronzer, only for sculpting/shaping purposes. Hair by Danilo and Pantene. Says Danilo, “The theme was undone glamour. A very young look – a throwback version of chic hot girls. In the sixties, hair was perfect. We’ve updated it by adding undone texture, which makes it more contemporary and effortless.” See end result below (on another model, of course): Nails by CND (Creative Nail Design). Not only does Gwen Stefani design clothes, she also designs nails! From the almond shape to the black tip French manicure, Stefani’s nails of choice fit in perfectly with the mod theme of the show, and the nails fit the clothes to a tee. Say Amanda Fontanarrosa of CND, “It’s very ‘Scooter Girl’ – this may even become the new hot look on nails! We’ve already seen a total black nail; why not update it with a black tips?” Technorati Tags: Glam Media, Glam.com, Glam Blush, GlamBlush, Beauty, New York Fashion Week Glam Editor BlogsLatest Posts |
