Granted this was a menswear presentation, but I swear these guys were wearing lipstick. Either that, or every single male model that barreled down the runway looked like they’d just finished a marathon kissing session!

As for the hair, there wasn’t much of a collective look. I saw everything from the ‘Johnny Bravo pompadour’ to buzzcuts and even shags. One thing’s for sure – they all reminded me of a California surfer dude. GlamBlush translation: S.E.X.Y.

I’m sure Amy Winehouse would be so proud… from the catwalk to the sidewalk, I’m starting to see heavy eyeliner everywhere I look. Not that I’m complaining – I’m a huge fan of the sexy sixties mod look, à la Edie Sedgwick.

Problem for some (and me as well), if your hand isn’t very steady, creating this look on yourself can prove to be quite a feat. From tugging at the corners of your eyes (which is HORRIBLE and will definitely promote premature wrinkles) to applying too much liquid eyeliner, I think we can all agree – perfecting this look takes a tad bit of skill.

Or does it? Enter the Get In Line Compact by Beth Bender, which thankfully does all the work for you. For a mere $36, this kit paints the pain away. No wonder Jessica Simpson, Angelina Jolie, Courteney Cox, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner, and even the ‘Queen of the Cat Eye’ herself, Amy Winehouse, are all fans!

I was able to score this kit last week, and I must admit – I’m head over heels in love already. I no longer struggle with the eyeliner pen or waste Q-Tips and obscene amounts of makeup remover on my eyes; I’m finally able to create the purrrrrrrrrrrrfect cat eye in less than 60 seconds. Can’t beat that!

Boy, oh boy! When primetime TV picks up on an emerging beauty trend, you know it must be haute, hot, haute!

Case in point: Have you seen the new promo spot for Desperate Housewives season 4? OMG. Sizzling!!!!! Teri Hatcher, Marcia Cross, Felicity Huffman, Eva Longoria, and Nicollette Sheridan took the glam look to the max. They’re oozing sex appeal wearing lingerie and pearls, and all dolled up like 40s sexpot housewives, complete with the lush tumbling curls and the rich red lipstick. See for yourself:

While I’ve always been a fan of Desperate Housewives since day one, my love has intensified since seeing this commercial. I surely can’t wait until September 30th when season 4 starts!
