Backstage at Zac Posen: Such Fun Hair!

The Hairstylist: Odile Gilbert for L’Oréal Professionnel
The Look: Minnie Mouse meets Helmut Newton. So girly, sexy, and strong. Gilbert styled every model’s hair up into a cornrowed chignon with two cashmere pom-poms playfully situated on top of the head.

Zac Posen Fall 2008

Here’s how Gilbert styled the look, from start to finish:
1. The hair was first prepped with L’Oréal Professionnel Texture Expert Fixatif (a super-hold gel), and tautly pulled on the top of head into a high ponytail.
2. The pom-poms where then affixed to the head and the ponytail cornrowed and twisted up into a chignon, with a piece of the cashmere fabric from the pom-poms weaved into the cornrow.
3. To set the look and give the hair a super shiny gloss, Gilbert sprayed L’Oréal Professionnel Texture Expert Shine Perfection to sleek the entire head and Infinium #4 (an extreme hold finishing hairspray) sprayed to add additional hold and gorgeous shine.
