How to Get a Stunning Set of Eyes

Sienna Miller eyes

Since the new nudes trend is sweeping red carpets worldwide (translation: it’s all about a dramatic eye and a nude lip), luckily Amanda Bell, a British makeup artist for Lancôme (whose roster boasts Sienna Miller, Lizzie Jagger, and Diane Kruger), recently told The Sun how we all can get gorgeous camera-ready eyes at home.

1. “Fully prepare eyes before you start by cleansing every last bit of mascara and applying a refreshing eye treatment to make eyes sparkle… this gets rid of signs of tiredness and dehydration lines.”

2. “Take your time! If you spend a little more time applying your make-up (I’m talking a couple of extra minutes here!) then you will have to spend less time correcting mistakes.”

3. “Always use a kohl pencil first, along the base of the lashes, blending upwards, to give shape to the eyes before applying shadow on the top.”

4. “Blend the eye colour onto the back of your hand before applying to lids and this will stop any excess dropping under the eyes.”

5. “Go for glamorous, dark lashes to frame the eyes (with mascara)… to give a dramatic and mysterious effect. Use the wand to smudge an extra coat at the roots of the lashes only to give an amazingly alluring look.”
