Rita Hazan on The Oscars: The Ladies, The Color, The Hair!
By INDIA-JEWEL JACKSON 03.03.2008 imt
“I loved that we saw a lot of color on the red carpet this year!” Two of my favorite looks were on Jessica Alba and Katherine Heigl. I loved that Jessica chose such a gorgeous plum dress; it definitely complimented her skin tone! Her hair reminded me of the ADAM Adam Lippes Fall 2008 fashion show this past Fashion Week – very simple but very chic. There was a braid in the front along the hairline, and then the rest of her hair was tied into a loose bun in the back. I thought she looked beautiful, and the style was not too contrived – best of all, this look is so easy to achieve at home: Katherine Heigl looked stunning in her red dress – very old Hollywood glamour, and she channeled a modern Marilyn Monroe. Her look is easy to achieve at home. Start by parting your hair to the side. Then take a medium barrel curling iron, curl 1-2 inches sections of hair and pin into place. Let the curls sit for about 20 minutes then smooth the curl gently with a paddle brush.
I am so happy that Nicole Kidman went warmer and less blonde with her hair color – her hair color looks natural, soft and rich. The warmer shade has a more youthful feel, and gives her skin a beautiful glow! Another copper-colored star I loved was Tilda Swinton. Omg, what an intense, bright copper – not very natural, but gorgeous! I love this color with her skin; it’s sexy and bold but also looks luxe. Well done! xx, Rita Hazan Technorati Tags: Glam Media, Glam.com, Glam Blush, GlamBlush, Beauty, Rita Hazan, Jessica Alba, Tilda Swinton, Katharine Heigl, Heidi Klum, Nicole Kidman, hair, hair color, Oscars, Academy Awards **Photos Courtesy of Glam & People** Glam Editor BlogsLatest Posts |
