I have been reading Brown Skin and I absolutely love the information. It’s difficult to find dermatologist who truly understand women of color. My question has to do with going from relaxer to natural. I really want to let it completely grow out, but I am having a difficult time making the adjustment. I have new growth, that’s very curly (nappy) and then there’s the relaxed hair. How do you recommend that I work with this? I’d say am nearly at 2 inches new growth and 4-6 inches relaxed hair.
Thanks for your feedback, I’m completely lost and my husband is really getting impatient with me…so am I.

Dr.Taylor I have acne really bad and I have been using your RX for Brown Skin for the past three weeks and I have seen any chang still breaking out and have these painful blackheads. I am medium complexion and you can see my scars and bumpx really good. I amd very self-concious and I hate to look in the mirror and I hate for my boyfriend to touch my face. I dont know what to do. The sale associate and Sephora said that the breakout will get worst before it gets better please tell me what to do…

I am a 35 year old african american female of dark complexion. My problem is that my elbows and the area right at my ankle bone (the outside part) is very dark, basicly black. I do have high blood pressure but no diabetes or any other health issues…I’m a cosmetologist so I’m not on my elbows like someone at a desk may be. I’ve tried Ambi, BleachWhite and Nadinola…none of them help with lightening these 2 areas. Please help

Dr.Taylor I have these light patches on my should chest and back. When they began, they itched and the skin is sort of scaley. I’ve gone to a dermatologist and he recommended that I use Nazarol shampoo and gave me some type of lotrisone cream to use. It hasn’t help a lot. What do you think is going on and what can I do to keep my skin beautiful. I would say that my skin color is litht brown complextion.
