In celebration of the opening of their newest Los Angeles boutique, CHANEL will launch a special capsule color collection named after its swanky location: Robertson Boulevard.
California ease, hipster cool, and true luxury intersect at Los Angeles’ hottest shopping spot, Robertson Boulevard. May 2008 brings a brand new reason to hit the block: the opening of the sparkling new Robertson Boulevard CHANEL boutique. To celebrate the occasion, Peter Philips, the new Global Creative Director of CHANEL Makeup, has designed four limited-edition must-have nail colours, which will be exclusively available in-store.
This mini-collection of graphic, pop-art shades was inspired by the spirit of Robertson Boulevard itself, a young Hollywood hangout now famous for shopping sprees and see-and-be-seen lunch spots such as The Ivy. Just as Robertson offers a signature blend of trendiness and haute exclusivity, these nail colours are fresh, eclectic, fun — bright as a cloudless California day, and perfect for a destination where every shopper feels like a star.
MELROSE: A fun, hot pink destined to become spring’s must-have pedicure
RODEO DRIVE: A purple splash: girl power meets the power lunch
L.A. SUNRISE: A primary yellow as bright and cheerful as its name
L.A. SUNSET: A warm tangerine — just the thing for an afternoon shopping splurge
Price: $25.00
Available exclusively in-store at the Robertson Boulevard CHANEL Boutique beginning May 30th, 2008, on CHANEL.com in July 2008, or call 1.800.550.0005.

I want them so badly I can feel them on my nails already. But 25 quid a bottle! I’ll do it but It’ll be with shaking hands and sobbing over the loss of money.

Hey Adaora,
You know Chanel polishes last and last - they don’t chip as much as the others, so I think it’s well worth it.
Plus, is it 25 pounds in the UK, or will it be 15?
xx

As if this is a good thing. I see nothing in this article regarding the uphill battle the residents of this neighborhood have been fighting for a year and 1/2 against the construction company building this place (and the new Ralph Lauren 2 doors down), and all the laws they’re breaking.
For over a year, I (along w/ every neighbor on this street, who share an alleyway with Robertson) have been woken up at 5am to the sound of drills, cranes, cement trucks, hammering, drilling, etc…and the noise does not cease till 11pm or later, leaving a mere 6 hours of quiet time for residents. (LA law dictates no construction is allowed between 7pm and 7am, and NONE on Sundays).
Every time a neighbor calls the cops, nothing happens. I wonder how many bribes Chanel and Ralph Lauren have paid out to run illegal building sites for over a year at the expense of an entire neighborhood?
