As told by Blanchett to Parade magazine recently: “I’ve got the ugliest hairstyle I’ve ever seen. If that doesn’t send signals that she’s the villain then there’s no point.”
“Once I got into [the role though], I actually found it quite liberating playing a really bad girl because you can sort of do anything you want.”

Ugliest hairstyle? That style was great,but it shows that she’s no film scholar: it is better known as a “Louise Brooks”, after the legendary silent film star, one of the greatest bad girls in cinema. Sigh. This younger generation…..
