Thirty-four years ago, L’Oreal Paris coined the phrase “Because I’m Worth It” to celebrate a woman’s worth and build her self-esteem. In 1997, L’Oreal Paris partnered with The Ovarian Cancer Research Fund (OCRF) to raise money and awareness to help the fight against ovarian cancer. Today, L’Oreal Paris and OCRF have established Women of Worth, a program and award that honors women who serve their communities. These Women of Worth are inspiring volunteers, outstanding achievers, and are all around beautiful women who are making a difference in their communities through literacy programs, organizing children’s initiatives, and founding life-saving charitable organizations.

If you know some one who you consider to be worthy of this prestigious honor, you can nominate her for the award on the L’Oreal Paris website. L’Oreal will make a $5,000 donation to her most cherished charitable cause as well as donate $5,000 in the name of each winner to support the OCRF. One Women of Worth Nominee and her cause will be selected by the public to be recognized and her charity will receive an additional donation of $25,000 in her name. Through these programs, L’Oreal has raised over $13 million on behalf of the OCRF to honor their commitment to women all over the world. So give your sister, mother, or friend the recognition that she deserves, and help raise money to fight Ovarian Cancer. Every woman is worth it.
