As a fairly tall girl (5′ 9″), I can tell you, growing up is hard work! After those awkward teenage years ended, I was left with stretch marks on my knees and all the boys shrinking in my long shadow. Luckily, after a while, the boys grew taller, but my thin white lines still hadn’t faded. So I went in search of a fabulous cream to whisk them away. That’s when I read about the medical-sounding StriVectin-SD, an intense concentrate for stretch marks, which promised to smooth out my annoying adolescent souvenirs. Well, little did I know, it’s also great for wrinkles, fine lines, crow’s feet, and all those other skin-related side-effects of getting older. The product claims to be “better than botox” and uses an oligo-peptide called Pal-KTTKS, which is known for its ultra-strength, wrinkle-reducing properties. For the next four to six weeks, three times a day, I’ll be massaging this cream on my knees and between my brows, hoping to erase the past and the future. Maybe growing up just got a little easier after all.
StriVectin-SD Intensive Concentrate for Existing Stretch Marks, $135; available at KleinBecker.com.
