Shipley & Halmos

makeup.jpg

We got the behind-the-scenes scoop from makeup artist Tina Turnbow for Beauty.com at the Shipley & Halmos show.

Turnbow advised us that this look is, “all about the cheek.” She continues,”[I] wanted it to have a bit of an edge…a sweetness to it against the neutral clothes. Almost like a pink mask, on the Blade Runner side.” Ferocious!

Ways to achieve the S&H neon look? Apply Stila Convertible Color for Lips and Cheeks in Fuschia to cheeks, then dust LORAC Eye Shadow in Delight on top of cheekbones. “I think it can be really fun to play with browbone and cheek,” Turnbow says, so go wild! To make the models’ eyes truly pop, Turnbow used Jane Iredale Longest Lash Thickening and Lengthening Mascara in Black Ice on lashes, then Stila Lip Glaze in Watermelon on lids.” Lipgloss on eyelids, who knew?

Turnbow shows us how to apply gloss to the lids:
