Miss Ugly Betty (America Ferrera) called on Heidi Klum’s get gorgeous go-to gal, Linda Hay, to create a stellar red-carpet look for the 2009 Golden Globes.

Says Hay: “Inspired by America’s effortlessly chic Oscar de la Renta dress, I kept her look sweet and simple. The skin, I kept as sheer as possible by using as little as possible. I like to cover whatever’s required without over doing it because America has beautiful skin.”

Here’s how to get her bright-eyed look:

Step 1: Hay used Jouer’s Age Repairing Brightener ($32) around the eye and on the nose to illuminate Ferrera’s eyes.

Step 2: Hay applied a light and sheer shimmer all over the lid and inner corner of the eye, with a metallic silver shadow in the crease.

Step 3: Using a black pencil, Hay applied a thin defined line right above her lashes, and then applied coats of Dior Blackout Mascara to Ferrera’s eyes to make them pop!

Step 4: Using finger-tip application on the cheeks, Hay applied Jouer’s Lip and Cheek Tint in Amaryllis ($20), a sheer warm red which blended in to compliment Ferrera’s skin tone.
