January Jones Goes Retro

She sure must love all things vintage! From her role as a 60s housewife on Mad Men straight to the red carpet of the 2009 Golden Globes, it’s really no surprise that gorgeous January Jones channeled a look from yesteryear. Having her hair styled by Matrix celebrity stylist Mark Townsend, Jones’ look was inspired by 40s film noir star Veronica Lake (with a bit of modern edge.)

Here’s how to get her old-school look:

1) Apply a dollop of Biolage Volumizing Whipped Mousse to wet hair and blow dry it with a medium Spornette mixed bristle round brush,

2) Create a side part, and with two inch sections of hair, spray each with Vavoom Gold Heat Iron-In Control Protective Dry Mist and wrap small sections of hair around a 1 ½ inch curling iron,

3) Secure each curl with a hairpin, and allow them to sit for about 15 minutes,

4) Remove hair pins and brush hair into waves with a Mason Pearson brush,

5) To finish, spray hair with Biolage Shine Endure Spritz for hold and shine that will last throughout the night.
