Back in the early days of Gossip Girl, we debated the locks of Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf, and it would seem as if we finally have a victor, as Blake Lively’s hair has been recently touted as today’s mane du jour, even being hailed as the new ‘Rachel’ by the New York Times!

For all of you ‘Serena’s-in-training’, Nexxus Creative Director and celebrity hairstylist Kevin Mancuso shares his tips on how to recreate the style in four simple steps:

1: Apply a curl enhancing mousse, like Nexxus Gorgeous Curls Curl Enhancing Styling Foam, evenly throughout damp hair.

2: Turn head upside down and blow dry, using fingers to scrunch hair. Once dry, flip head back up and create slightly off-center part.

3: Use a medium size curling iron to create well-defined curls randomly throughout the bottom half of locks only.

4: Finish the look by applying a light coating of a texturizing lotion, such as Nexxus VersaStyler Artistic Designing Lotion, with fingers, separating and loosening the curls as you go.
