Giorgio Armani Taps into UNICEF

For the third year in a row, Giorgio Armani Fragrances and its Acqua for Life campaign is teaming up with UNICEF’s Tap Project to provide funding and awareness for the millions of households around the world that don’t have access to clean, safe H2O. Waterborne illnesses account for nearly 4,000 childhood deaths per day, most from preventable ailments. Through the end of March, $1 from each purchase of Acqua di Gio for men or Acqua di Gioia for women, and all proceeds from the sale of women’s rollerball edition in the U.S., will be donated to the cause. Already stocked up on the fresh from the sea Armani scent? Your “like” of the Acqua for Life on Facebook will prompt the company to add another $1 to its Tap Project donation, up to $100,000. Or, you could simply pay $1 for tap water you’d normally get for free at your favorite restaurant. And while you may not think a single George Washington could go a long way, get this: $1 can provide a child with clean water for 40 days. With World Water Week underway, you can tap into your aromatic senses and make sure your dollar goes a long, long way. Doing good never smelled so great.

Acqua di Gio, $59-$99 at GiorgioArmaniBeauty-USA.com | Acqua di Gioia, $39.50-$82 at Sephora.com | Acqua di Gioia rollerball, $15 at Macys.com
