Girls’ Alison Williams is the New Face of Simple

We’ll admit that during the Super Bowl’s blackout we switched over to catch the newest episode of Girls, and one of them has just landed her first beauty campaign!

Alison Williams, who plays Girls’ straight-laced Marnie Michaels, has been named the newest face of sensitive skincare line, Simple. Williams had a hard time finding products that didn’t irritate her skin, dry it out, or cause her to break out.

Williams said that a lot of her skin issues come from her job, but noted that busy women all over are bound to have skin issues when time is precious. “If you’re an actress – and in some cases, this goes for all women – the only thing you can control about your skin is what you put on your face at the beginning of the day, and what you do when you take your makeup off,” she told People. “Otherwise it’s affected by stress, makeup artists, weather, pollution. The great thing about simple products is that they protect you against those things – you can wipe it all off at the end of the day.”

So whenever she has a chance to clean off the day’s makeup, she’ll take it regardless of where she is. “When I fly, halfway through the flight, I like to give myself a face wash,” Williams said. “I just sit there and turn towards the window and use a wipe.” We’ll take that advice if our skin can look as radiant as Williams’ does!
