He put Andy Warhol back on the map, and now François Nars is turning his attention to another artist, Guy Bourdin. As an avid photographer himself, Nars is set to create a limited edition color cosmetics collection in collaboration with Bourdin’s estate that will “evoke the Parisian fashion photographer’s ambitious, provocative work,” according to Women’s Wear Daily. While the Bourdin’s name may not seem familiar to many, the influence of his work is clear in Madonna’s music video for “Hollywood.” With Bourdin’s play on bright colors and the female form, Nars is sure to create a collection that everyone will covet when it hits shelves this holiday season!
