Backstage Beauty Beat: Thom Browne
By Valis Vicenty February 19,2013
The Show: Thom Browne The Hair: Browne had asked for a bird’s nest and it was delivered in spades! A lot of Bumble & Bumble’s Thickening Hair Spray was applied before the tresses were roughly blown out. The entire head was teased up and then put into double French twists in the back and sealed with the Does It All Styling Spray. Finally it was topped with a crown of branches and a few roses. The Makeup: The models continued their Marie Antionette-esque treatment by receiving a powdered face by mixing the model’s shade of Face & Body Foundation with either the NC15/NW20 Studio Fix Fluid Foundation to lighten their complexion and set with the Pro Porcelain Set Powder and Pro Shivering White Pastel Studio Fix for a matte finish but made the apples of the cheeks pop with the Frankly Scarlet Powder Blush. A wash of the Prep + Prime Radiant Rose Highlighter went over the eye with the lashes left bare. The lips were reshaped into a heart with the help of Ruby Woo lipstick and the Pro Basic Red Pigment for a matte longwear finish. The Mani: The models kept it classic in Maybelline’s Color Show Nail Lacquer in Keep Up the Flame on a longer stiletto nail.
