Today is International Women’s Day and L’Occitane wants to help you celebrate by helping other women gain financial independence and an education.

The fund-raising, fair trade soap is created in a factory that is run entirely by women and supports their economic emancipation. The soap itself is formulated with L’Occitane’s signature ingredient, Shea Butter, and engraved with a motif that translates to education.

All of the proceeds will help build literacy programs for women in Burkina Faso, Africa.  Since 2006 over 1,900 women have learned to read and write. How’s that for girl power?
