Mark your calendars: Tadashi Shoji is heading from the red carpet to the beauty counter next year.

Inspired by the chic and sophisticated women that the designer loves to dress, Shoji has signed a licensing arrangement with the Fragrance Group, reported Women’s Wear Daily. The as yet untitled scent is set to launch in the fall of 2014.

“I design to make women feel confident and beautiful,” said Shoji, red-carpet favorite of Academy Award-winning actress Octavia Spencer. “The result is a soft and subtle scent.”

During New York Fashion Week, Shoji spilled the beans to InStyle.com about the new project: “It’s a light floral, with rose and cucumber. It’s very light,” said Shoji. And he would know, “I tried it and I love it. Everyday I wear it!”
