We all know what it’s like to try to prevent time from taking its toll on our skin (think: anti-aging creams, serums, makeup, treatments and, yes, procedures…), but we think less often about what time can do to our hair. We might be slaves to blow dryers, straightening irons, and curling rods, but that doesn’t mean our hair has to look like it. To protect your hair against all of that and natural aging, consider boosting your haircare routine with anti-agers made specifically for your mane. Revitalize your tresses with these shampoos, treatments, and finishers to make it seem like you really did turn back the time.

It seems like shutterbugs have caught the beauty fever! After photographer and The Face host Nigel Barker announced his cosmetics line, John Russo is stepping from behind the camera and heading to the fragrance counter.
Russo’s eponymous scents, Photograph, started off as a gift to subjects of his work like Gwyneth Paltrow (who admitted to being bit of a fragrance fiend), Jessica Biel, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon before taking with a life of its own. “I want to draw parallels between what I do and my fragrance,” he told Women’s Wear Daily. “I’ve flown all over the world to shoots in exotic, wonderful places and I want to share that with people.”
Inspired by old Hollywood glamor and vintage photography, the fragrances capture the classic notes of the age. Mandarin, orange, and bergamot at the top, lavender and ginger at the heart, and a smoky tobacco base comprise the men’s cologne. The women’s perfume bottles a blend of freesia, peach, lemon, rose, lavender, gardenia, and musky amber. Russo took the concept further by adding ‘20s-inspired images of Gui Fedrizzi and Marilla Moreno from his portfolio onto the sleeves of the respective scents. “Photograph is reminiscent of my photography with sleek, modern and clean lines,” Russo said. “It crosses over to my photographic style.”
He’s showing no signs of slowing down as he’s already at work on his next scent, Campaign. The new fragrance will capture notes from the islands of Greece where he’s set to shoot the ads for it in Mykonos. Could a scent for every exotic locale be in the works? We hope so!
Photography is currently available at boutiques in Montage hotels and Fred Segal for $60.

Katy Perry’s always been open about her looks and style. (Remember her Proactiv commercials circa 2011?) But in a new video for Vogue, Perry shares some of her beauty secrets and admits she might be ready to move up to a more mature beauty look.
As the clip chronicles Perry transitioning from fresh faced to camera-ready, courtesy of makeup artist Jake Bailey, she shares the origins of her black tresses. As it turns out, this was a solution to a disastrous attempt to emulate Madonna. “When I was 15, I chopped it all off. I had it bleached blonde like Madonna in Who’s That Girl,” she explained. “It just didn’t look right, so I bought a box of color. I went black and never went back.”
She attributed her dramatic looks to her insecurity about her skin but noted it’s become much better over the years, leading her to tone down the drama. “We would do a lot more coverage because I was insecure about my skin,” she said. “Most of the time, I’m doing stuff with big lights and a lot of HD, and there’s a lot of things to think about when painting the face.”
So what are her favorite features? Her eyes and her brows! “If I can get my brows and my eyes right, then that really sets the whole face.” Our thoughts exactly, Katy!

We knew the fall season would be full of fresh faces, but Givenchy is making it the focal point for its upcoming Teint Couture makeup.
Mariacarla Boscono dripped in diamonds for the new ads that were shot by Daniel Jackson, who recently shot Gwyneth Platrow’s May Elle cover. Nicolas Degennes, Creative Director of the beauty brand, opted to have the Italian model rock a fresh platinum pixie to highlight the even tone the new makeup provides.
The new foundation is formulated to give you a natural, flawless finish for up to 15 hours in up to 10 shades. The solid compact comes in four hues, which are paired with an added pink hue for a natural flush, while beauty buffs can try the liquid version in six shades.
Though we have a while to wait before the foundation hits shelves in August, the glittering ad is enough to increase our anticipation!

The perfect combination of clear-complexion and anti-aging products can be hard to come by, especially when there are so many we seem to “need.” By now, our bathroom drawers are overflowing with creams, cleansers, serums, and pads that don’t necessarily work in tandem with one another. Enter: the Dr. Gross Ferulic Acid and Peel Pad Trio, which will be available on QVC on today only for $124.50. This perfect system comes equipped with three products that should be used morning and evening on clean dry skin to help reduce the visible signs of aging.
The Wrinkle Fighters kit includes a two-step Alpha Beta Peel, the Ferulic Acid + Retinol Brightening Solution and the Ferulic Acid + Retinol Triple Correction Eye Serum. Use the peel to exfoliate skin and nourish the newly revealed layer with anti-aging ingredients. The Brightening Solution will reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and pores as it illuminates and exfoliates. Lastly, the Triple Correction Eye Serum targets fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes as it serves as a primer for longer lasting makeup. This amazing trio is available (just today!) with your choice of Original or Extra Strength peel. For such killer products at this low price, there’s no way we’re letting this trio pass us by. There’ll be no need to add this one to our overflowing stock of miscellaneous bathroom products, because it’s sure to become a day-to-day necessity.

Lea Michele is on a mission from L’Oréal to find a few good women for the brand’s upcoming Women of Worth Awards.
The Glee star will help select the 10 inspiring ladies to receive $10,000 each for their social causes. The beauty brand that began the initiative in 2006 is switching things up this year by spreading the love across five generations, with two women chosen for each age group – all who work hard to make difference in their respective communities.
“Whether in college or retired, we know women of all ages are making phenomenal contributions and we want to recognize and celebrate these achievements,” President of L’Oréal Paris Karen Fondu told Women’s Wear Daily. “We are excited with the number of submissions we have received so far and look forward to seeing more come in before nominations close.”
Know someone worthy of the award? Nominations will be open until June 21. Fans of the brand will have the chance to help choose one of the finalists in November, and the winners will be announced towards the end of the year. For more information, please visit WomenofWorth.com.

Katie Holmes looks red-carpet ready in her newest ad for Bobbi Brown. As a complete 180 from her sultry, smoky look for the brand’s Long-Wear ream Shadow Sticks, Holmes is drop dead dazzling for the new Navy & Nude collection.
According to People, Brown herself styled the actress by creating a soft smoky eye with a navy eyeliner as well as slate, cement, and shimmering taupe shadow. She kept Holmes’ signature fresh face with a tinted moisturizer and a flush on the cheeks, care of the collection’s new Pink Brightening Brick, which is a favorite of the pair. Brown even added a nail color to her beauty arsenal in the collection’s signature shade to round out the entire look.
Thankfully, we won’t have to wait to get our hands on the new offerings as the collection that can adapt for almost every occasion this season is set to hit shelves June 15. “This collection is about the whole package — eyes, lips, cheeks and nails,” Brown told the glossy. “The collection pairs wearable pinks and nudes with navy to foolproof your look while helping to transition [your makeup] from summer to fall. I love the ease and versatility of it — your look can be whatever fits your personal style.”

Kate Moss might be baring it all with Playboy soon, but in the meantime, she’s showing off the sunny side of summer with one of the hottest nail trends this season on the cover of Allure Korea.
While bright pops of color are almost standard for the season, Moss paired her distressed beach waves with a bold bolt of black liner, and a simple, yet shocking, white manicure. Jin Soon Choi predicted that nail art was on its way out back in February with nudes nails expected for Fall, but a white polish provides a buffer between the naked nail, which can be seen as too subtle for the warmer months, and a color that can contrast with a summer ensemble.
To capture the look for yourself, we recommend buffing the nails to rid yourself of any ridges and provide a smoother application. To avoid streaks, be sure to apply two coats as well as a top coat for high-shine finish. Check out some of our white-hot choices below:

![snakeskin-pedicure]()
Pedicures are awesome in principle, just as they are. Think about it. You get to sit in a massaging chair, dunk your feet in warm, bubbly water, and be pampered as someone else scrubs your feet and paints your toenails. It’s a decadent indulgence. But for some spas, the simple pedicure isn’t enough. Oh no. They’ve gotta up the ante. They’ve gotta take the standard pedicure and remix it into something extra and over the top.
How do you make something as awesome as a pedicure, even more awesome? One high end Las Vegas spa believes they’ve found a way. The Spa & Salon Vdara in the exclusive Vdara resort is now offering snakeskin pedicures. Yes, you read that right.
The nail art was inspired by the hot runway trends—animal prints remain huge and now snakeskin print is emerging everywhere from jeans to accessories and shoes. Now you can get 100% authentic snakeskin affixed to your toes for extra glam. And this is all humanely done, no snakes are harmed in the creation of this one of a kind nail art. This is naturally shed snakeskin. Those who still aren’t comfortable with snakeskin on their toenails can have the same pedicure with faux snakeskin for $15 more.
Why is this a pedicure, and not a manicure? It turns out that snakeskin is too thick for fingernails but it works great on the toes. Just in time for flip flop season!
Just because your toes will have a reptilian finish, that doesn’t mean your feet have to follow suit. The Vdara also offers some awesome sounding Skin Soothing Serenity treatments, where your skin will be rehydrated with all natural, high end, spa quality ingredients. The Caramel & Bourbon Body Polish sounds ridiculously decadent. It’ll cost you $95 for 25 minutes of bliss. The Vdara’s snakeskin pedicure—using real, naturally shed snakeskin—will run you $200.
Would you try it?
