We hope you’re sitting down for this – Alexander McQueen’s Sarah Burton has just inked a deal to develop a new perfume for the fashion house!
According to Elle UK, work is to begin immediately on a new scent for both men and women through P & G Prestige though a release date hasn’t been set. This will mark the first scent from the label since McQueen’s passing in 2010. The brand has previously entered the market with Kingdom in 2003 and My Queen in 2005 through YSL Beauté, but both have since been discontinued.
The brand’s signature blend of contradictions (fragility and strength tradition and modernity, fluidity and severity) was a big draw for both sides to come together to develop a wholly unique aroma that is sure to shake up the fragrance counter. “Creating a fragrance feels like a natural progression as it enhances the world of Alexander McQueen,” Burton explained. “I’m very excited by this opportunity to collaborate with P&G Prestige, to work together to create a scent that captures the unique sensibility of the house.”
As soon a date is set, we’ll be sure to mark our calendars!

Sorry Brad, you’ve just been trumped.
Adam Levine has taken the monologue fragrance commercial to the next level to promote his first two eponymous fragrances. Reading more as a testimonial, the Maroon 5 singer reveals that he typically hates celebrity fragrances within the first few seconds of the clip directed by Travis Schneider, who recently shot the band’s video for “Out of Goodbyes.”
Ever the rock star, he cuts into his monologue with snippets of motorcycles, cars, and sexy models, while strutting around in a distressed tee. He goes on to note that he ensured he was involved in every step of the process to create what he calls “the anti-celebrity fragrance,” stressing the need for individuality. “You don’t want to be alarmed by a scent. You want it to be alluring or mysterious in some way. You don’t want to feel like you ripped a page out of a magazine and rubbed it all over yourself. You want something that’s uniquely your own,” he explained in the video.
We’ll have to snag a spritz before we can say for sure!

There’s a lot of eye candy in Hollywood, but none of them have luscious, enviable locks like Bradley Cooper.
A recent U.K. poll for the hair brand Fudge listed The Place Beyond the Pines stud as the man with the world’s sexiest hair with almost half of the total votes! He beat out the likes of Ryan Gosling (who should be on the cover of this year’s Sexiest Man Alive issue, just saying), David Beckham, Prince Harry, and even One Direction’s Harry Styles for the title.
It comes as no surprise as the sexy star isn’t afraid to change up his hair look. While he sported a closely cropped cut in 2005’s Wedding Crashers, it wasn’t until his longer locks showed up in the original The Hangover that audiences took notice … not to mention his ability to rock a set of rollers for the right role.
Congrats Bradley! We can’t wait to see what look you’ll try next.

If you were born in the late ‘80s, The Little Mermaid is the Disney princess that still has a place in your heart – not to mention her own Internet meme – and now she’s getting her own collection with Sephora!
![Little-Mermaid-Bueaty]()
Following in the footsteps of Cinderella and Jasmine, Ariel is resurfacing to become the newest princess to be featured in Sephora’s Disney Reigning Beauties. The collection will include a Part of Your World shadow palette, Find Your Voice lip glosses, and What Cha-Nail-Callit nail polish set – all in shades pulled from the film itself! It will also include a new fragrance called Kiss the Girl (Sha-la-la-la-la-la my, oh, my - whoops!) with notes of bergamot, wet cucumber, wild lilac, starfruit, and sandalwood. Plus, there a compact mirror as dazzling as the items in her deep sea cave of treasures.
We plan on making a splash with these new hues once the collection hits shelves and Sephora.com in July for $19-$58.

It might be only available in Germany, but we can’t help pouring over Rita Ora’s spread in the July issue of the country’s iteration of Interview. Aside from featuring one of our newest celebrity obsessions, the new Material Girl is rocking an unexpected hue that most would be frightened of: red eye shadow.
While the hue might normally be relegated to the likes of goths and punks, the edgy color concept has enjoyed a resurgence thanks to the Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibit at the Met. To capture the color for yourself tastefully, we recommend gently patting the color onto the eye with a flat eye shadow brush before buffing the color up to the crease with a fluffy brush. Keep the rest of the face bare — save for a coat or two of mascara, a tiny touch of blush, and little lip balm — to ensure all eyes will be on you. But if you choose to go the Ora route of all red everything, don’t forget to own it!

We all know what it’s like to try to prevent time from taking its toll on our skin (think: anti-aging creams, serums, makeup, treatments and, yes, procedures…), but we think less often about what time can do to our hair. We might be slaves to blow dryers, straightening irons, and curling rods, but that doesn’t mean our hair has to look like it. To protect your hair against all of that and natural aging, consider boosting your haircare routine with anti-agers made specifically for your mane. Revitalize your tresses with these shampoos, treatments, and finishers to make it seem like you really did turn back the time.

It seems like shutterbugs have caught the beauty fever! After photographer and The Face host Nigel Barker announced his cosmetics line, John Russo is stepping from behind the camera and heading to the fragrance counter.
Russo’s eponymous scents, Photograph, started off as a gift to subjects of his work like Gwyneth Paltrow (who admitted to being bit of a fragrance fiend), Jessica Biel, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon before taking with a life of its own. “I want to draw parallels between what I do and my fragrance,” he told Women’s Wear Daily. “I’ve flown all over the world to shoots in exotic, wonderful places and I want to share that with people.”
Inspired by old Hollywood glamor and vintage photography, the fragrances capture the classic notes of the age. Mandarin, orange, and bergamot at the top, lavender and ginger at the heart, and a smoky tobacco base comprise the men’s cologne. The women’s perfume bottles a blend of freesia, peach, lemon, rose, lavender, gardenia, and musky amber. Russo took the concept further by adding ‘20s-inspired images of Gui Fedrizzi and Marilla Moreno from his portfolio onto the sleeves of the respective scents. “Photograph is reminiscent of my photography with sleek, modern and clean lines,” Russo said. “It crosses over to my photographic style.”
He’s showing no signs of slowing down as he’s already at work on his next scent, Campaign. The new fragrance will capture notes from the islands of Greece where he’s set to shoot the ads for it in Mykonos. Could a scent for every exotic locale be in the works? We hope so!
Photography is currently available at boutiques in Montage hotels and Fred Segal for $60.

Katy Perry’s always been open about her looks and style. (Remember her Proactiv commercials circa 2011?) But in a new video for Vogue, Perry shares some of her beauty secrets and admits she might be ready to move up to a more mature beauty look.
As the clip chronicles Perry transitioning from fresh faced to camera-ready, courtesy of makeup artist Jake Bailey, she shares the origins of her black tresses. As it turns out, this was a solution to a disastrous attempt to emulate Madonna. “When I was 15, I chopped it all off. I had it bleached blonde like Madonna in Who’s That Girl,” she explained. “It just didn’t look right, so I bought a box of color. I went black and never went back.”
She attributed her dramatic looks to her insecurity about her skin but noted it’s become much better over the years, leading her to tone down the drama. “We would do a lot more coverage because I was insecure about my skin,” she said. “Most of the time, I’m doing stuff with big lights and a lot of HD, and there’s a lot of things to think about when painting the face.”
So what are her favorite features? Her eyes and her brows! “If I can get my brows and my eyes right, then that really sets the whole face.” Our thoughts exactly, Katy!

We knew the fall season would be full of fresh faces, but Givenchy is making it the focal point for its upcoming Teint Couture makeup.
Mariacarla Boscono dripped in diamonds for the new ads that were shot by Daniel Jackson, who recently shot Gwyneth Platrow’s May Elle cover. Nicolas Degennes, Creative Director of the beauty brand, opted to have the Italian model rock a fresh platinum pixie to highlight the even tone the new makeup provides.
The new foundation is formulated to give you a natural, flawless finish for up to 15 hours in up to 10 shades. The solid compact comes in four hues, which are paired with an added pink hue for a natural flush, while beauty buffs can try the liquid version in six shades.
Though we have a while to wait before the foundation hits shelves in August, the glittering ad is enough to increase our anticipation!
