Allow me to introduce myself. My name is India-Jewel and I am a junkie. A beauty junkie. A beauty product junkie, to be exact. I love them. I live for them. As a matter of fact, I won’t… no, I can’t survive without them. Lucky for me (and my addiction), I’ve fallen into a career that allows me to indulge my passion. As beauty editor of Glam.com, it’s my job and civic duty to review, test and completely involve myself in all things beauty. When I’m at the office, in my little cube, in my own little world, surrounded by boxes and boxes filled to the brim with new products just waiting to be reviewed, only three words can describe my state of mind: sheer heavenly bliss. As I mentioned before, I’m a self-proclaimed beauty product junkie. Of course I have my favorites, and although I am in love with a few brands, for now they’ll remain nameless. I’m willing to test anything, and I simply must give other brands a chance to vie for a special place in my heart. Here’s a glimpse into a-day-in-my-life as far as beauty products are concerned. Every morning I need 15 products just to get out of the door (not including makeup). I can’t even check my mail without first using two types of bar soap, a shower gel, a body scrub, facial cleansing cushions, an eye cream, a facial moisturizer, a body lotion, baby powder, Vaseline, deodorant, perfume, whitening toothpaste, leave-in hair conditioner and lip balm. If it’s a good day (which is generally on the weekends), and I feel like getting extra gussied up, add 10 more products to that list. Brow powder and gel, two types of mascara, a powder eye shadow, a cream eye shadow, a body oil bronzer, an eye liner, a lip liner, a liquid blush and a sheer lip gloss. And I can’t neglect my hands and feet. So there’s a bi-weekly mani/pedi as well. One last thing… please don’t think I’m one-dimensional. My other “great loves” in life include French Vanilla ice cream, Dr. Pepper, Coke Zero, Belgian chocolate, Marilyn Monroe and The Pussycat Dolls. Not necessarily in that order.
Kiss Kiss,
