Get Luscious Lips with Nivea Lip Care

Over here in America, we seem to be constantly concerned with keeping away wrinkles on our faces – deep smile lines on the cheeks, crow’s feet near the eyes, and oh - who can forget those annoying forehead frown lines. But as usual, the Brits are one step ahead in the anti-aging arena: fines lines on the lips. Have them? Yearning to get rid of them? Meet Nivea Lip Care.

nivea-anti-wrinkle.jpg

It’s Anti-Wrinkle Lip Effect with Q10 complex and soybean smoothes out the skin on wrinkled lips, making them look fuller and more youthful. And the moisturizing ingredients, Shea butter, and calendula extract, help to keep lips hydrated, so if you layer with lipstick, it won’t flake at all.

One minor drawback for those of you with a sensitive palate and nose… upon first application, this innovative product has a slight waxy taste and smell, but only if you’re a major lip licker, like me! But after a minute or so, as the Lip Care balm soaks in, the smell fades and your lips are left more supple – and in time, wrinkle-free.caregloss.jpg

Something else new to try after your lips look young again, Nivea Lip Care Caregloss & Shine keeps your lips moist with an added candy color and high shine. The Caregloss formula includes Hydramine (found in your own skin), grape seed extract, and Shea butter for natural hydration. Plus, it lasts for hours without being sticky or goopy, and it’s true-to-color. Translation: Just make sure you look good in bubblegum pink!

So what have we learned here?

Good news - We can kiss lip wrinkles goodbye!

Bad news - Unfortunately, Nivea only offers this aging-lip saver to those residing in the UK.

More good news - The rest of us can order it online through their retail partners. Crisis averted!

For more info, visit Nivea online.

Excellent Red Lip Tips

Sienna Miller red lips

In a world where everything old becomes new again within the blink of an eye, red lips seem to still be having a rather trendy moment, as they’re still popping up on everyone from Sienna Miller to Katharine Heigl to Gwen Stefani to Dita Von Teese. (Maybe for these gals, it’s not just a trend - red lipstick seems like a lifeline to them.)

Anyway, if you notice, all four of these celebs have something in common - they’re all super pale-skinned. If you happen to love the red-lipped look, but look nothing like the aforementioned stars, The Sun sought to help. They asked British celebrity makeup artist Sue Moxley to break down which type reds would look best on each complexion:

~Dark skinned or olive coloured skin you can get away with almost any type of red.

~Yellow skin should avoid orangey reds and go for pinky red so as no to end up looking more sallow.

~Pale skins should be very careful and stick to brown red and blot it so its not too strong.

Would You Wear Rollers In Public?

Think this is a case of fashion and function fusing, or pure laziness?

 Coleen McLoughlin

British socialite/WAG Coleen McLoughlin was spotted leaving a hair salon over the weekend wearing a head full of curlers… maybe she didn’t have time to finish her hair styling session?

Says Coleen: “If I go to the hairdresser before a night out, I’ll often leave the rollers in and take them out at home… I don’t care what people think, as long as my hair looks good when I go out.”

Being that I’m all for getting ‘All Dolled Up’, I myself am guilty of stepping out of my apartment in rollers for a quick run to the corner store. Hell, I did it yesterday!

Though, I’m not a paparazzi magnet either… if I knew my photo was going to be snapped the moment I stepped outside, I believe I’d think twice about the entire world seeing me in curlers.

What about you? If you were always in the limelight, would you wear rollers in public?
