Emma Watson is the New Face of Chanel Perfume

It feels like just yesterday I decided I finally liked Keira Knightley as Kate Moss’s replacement as the face of Chanel fragrance Coco Mademoiselle.

Now comes the news that Emma Watson, the 18-year-old Harry Potter actress just signed a two-year contract worth $6 million with Chanel to promote the scent, beginning in September.

Why Is Her Skin So Gorgeous?

Keira Knightley facial skin

According to The Sun, Keira Knightley, Scarlett Johansson, and Cate Blanchett all trust their skin to Nichola Joss, a top esthetician in London. If you’ve got £1500 to spend on a four-hour facial with Joss, drop by and see her! If not, Nichola has shared her ‘red carpet ready’ facial steps for you to try at home:

1. “I start with a room full of scented candles… then the client puts on a thermal dressing gown, which is warm and soothing for when they’re lying down… I often give the client a hand and foot massage as well.”

2. “I always start the facial with a pre-cleansing oil because it takes the topical dirt off the skin.”

3. “Then I’ll do a milkier cleanse on the skin using something moisturising… what that does is get deeper down and starts building up circulation, movement and awakening the skin as well as cleaning it.”

4. “Toning rebalances the ph level and preps the skin for the next level. Take a toner, tip onto your hand and pat onto your skin. Or if you’ve got a nice spritzing or aerosol spray toner, then they’re great too.”

5. “Next I move onto the eye treatment… get your daily eye cream and apply more than usual around the whole contour of the eye, right to the cheekbone, up to the eyebrow and into the bridge of the nose. Leave it on for the whole facial.”

6. “Next I’ll apply an awakening and moisturizing mask. Water can be a bit harsh on the skin, so choose (to) peel or wipe off mask, and use a warm muslin cloth or cotton pad. Leave it on 10-15 minutes while you lie down and relax to some music. Then take off the mask and pat toner onto your face again.”

7. “After the mask I blend my own oils for the facial lymphatic drainage massage. Each recipe is specific to the client’s skin type and I write the ingredients and date on the bottle for them. I do a 15 to 20 minute facial massage which clears the skin of poisons and toxins, depuffs the eye area and plumps up the muscles – like a little workout for the face. I use ( a roller) to roll the skin and take redness out, and I give the client the roller to keep and teach them how to do the massage as part of their cleansing and moisturizing routine.”

Keira’s Making Me Eat. My. Words. Now.

keirachanelad.jpg

Ok, ok. I take (part of) THIS back.

The Coco Chanel Mademoiselle commercial. Saw it a couple of weeks ago, and sadly I must admit (after seeing it 20 times), I’m obsessed. I find myself finally loving Ms. Keira Knightley as the new face of the fashion house’s fragrance. While I’m still not head over heels in love with her print ads, in this commercial she’s smiling, sassy, confident, a tad bit flippant (but it works), and all-around sexy, in a femme fatale, 40s film noir type of way. All in all, this commercial gives me everything I think today’s Chanel girl should be, especially since Keira’s portraying Ms. Gabrielle “Coco” Chanel herself.

Haven’t seen it? FYI - It’s partially shot in what was Coco Chanel’s actual apartment, Joss Stone is singing her heart out (covering one of Nat King Cole’s hits)… how could you not LOVE this commercial?

Are you sold yet, or do you need a little more convincing? Click HERE to learn more about the Coco Chanel Mademoiselle fragrance. My two cents? I think it’s sharp and timeless scent. I mean seriously, what else can you expect from Chanel?

P.S. - Is it just me or do we all detect a couple of curves on Keira’s frame? Tell me!

Keira Knightley’s Chanel Ad

Out with the old, and in with the new. Bye bye Kate! (I’m SO sad to see you go.)
kate-moss-chanel.jpg
Keira Knightley has finally picked up where Kate Moss left off - her new Chanel fragrance adverts will be seen in September print issues, but here’s a sneak peek:
keira-chanel.jpg

Though I think this photo of Keira is gorgeous, very regal, and she’s working her trademark smoldering stare, I must admit, I’m a bit underwhelmed. Maybe I’m just a diehard Kate fan, but this advert doesn’t make me feel like I HAVE to buy this bottle of Chanel Coco Mademoiselle. (Which is a TOTAL shame, because it actually smells quite lovely).

Then again, maybe it’s the fluffy bob I’m just not into.

Anyway, that’s just my opinion. What do you think? Does this ad ‘work’ for you?
