It’s Friday! And I’m counting down the seconds until it’s time to clock out… Tonight I’m going to see The Golden Compass, a magical and adventurous fantasy film starring Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig. If you haven’t yet seen the preview (and have been living under a rock), check it out here. Naturally, once you watch the coming attraction you’ll be psyched and will want to inquire about tonight’s movie times. You can do so here. (Thank me later).
Based on the award-winning book, The Golden Compass is about young Lyra Belacqua’s journey through an alternate world – a universe where people are accompanied by their daemon (a physical manifestation of their own souls), animals talk, and witches rule the sky. Lyra makes some strange and disturbing discoveries that lead her on a quest to save her friends and the world she knows (to sum things up quite succinctly)… It’s a very elaborate and intricate plotline.
