Too old for trick or treating? Too young to dish out candy? We’ve got a super-fun fright-night plan for a fantastic Halloween … Get dressed up and go to the movies!

Zack and Miri Make a Porno: This super-racy movie stars Elizabeth Banks and Seth Rogen as two poor best friends who decide to strip to their skivvies to pay the bills. Dress up as a porn star (you know you want to) and hit the movies. But bring a sweater. Those theaters get cold.
High School Musical 3: If you haven’t seen the first two made-for-TV movies you’ve got some catching up to do. Channel your inner Wildcat. Dress up as Sharpay, Gabriella, or Troy and get ready to sing and dance in the aisles.
Changeling: Calling all Debbie Downers. Don your best ’20s gear and go see Angelina Jolie in the dramatic (and probably depressing) true-story of a mother on the quest to find her missing son. “I want myyyyyyy son back!!!!!”

There are so many new movies I’m just dying to see. So I’m making an effort this weekend to cram in as many as possible (though whenever I make this kinda promise, it NEVER ends up happening). I’ll keep you posted on what’s worth the ticket price with brief reviews and snippets. Here are a few of the latest must-see flicks. Will you be running to the cinema to see any of these?

HSM3: Go ahead. Make fun. I’ll wait … but seriously. I LOVE this franchise. It’s so fun and upbeat and cheery … in a less than always cheery time. These kids make life look easy. They take me back to a simple time … when life revolved around boys, math homework, and getting the lead role in your high school musical. (Honestly, the songs are SO fun.) If you still respect me enough to read the rest of my list, scroll down.
Pride & Glory: This movie looks insane. Have you seen a clip of the “iron” scene? Man oh man, that looks tense. I think this movie is going to be awesome. Colin Farrel. Edward Norton (who is my wannabe BF, PS) … I smell a seriously nerve-wracking, wring-your-hands, stomach-dropping hit.
Changeling: “I want my son back … My son!” Angelina Jolie gives what’s sure to be a heart-breaking performance in this Clint Eastwood-directed true-story of a film.
W.: Josh Brolin nails Bush in this very biased bioflick … Ain’t the truth funny.

So I admit that I’ve been sorta MIA this last week … Lackin’ in posts, commentary, photos, and recaps. And I’m so super sorry about that! … I’ve been busy work-work-working on some crazy cool things. But I’ll be back blogging in full force this week. So stay tuned. Meanwhile, I wanted to show you one of the crazy-cool things I just alluded to … Check out Brash.com. There’s some AWESOME content I just know you’re gonna love.

I’m loving this story on EW … They’re counting down the 25 bad-to-bone chicks who could like totally beat you up!

Terminator’s Summer Glau makes the list. She’s hardcore.

But thus far … I’ve been a bit disappointed with The Office. Last night’s episode wasn’t the laugh-out-loud kinda humor I always expect and anticipate. And I sorta felt that way about the first episode too. (Gasp.) I need me some more Dwight, Jim, Pam, and Michael … I need the awkward moments and the silly banter. I’m crossing my fingers that next week lives up to my expectations.

What do you think? … Do you think it’s as good as it’s ever been?
P.S. Do you “steal” time at work? …

Tuesday is my CW night. I watch the new 90210 because I’m admittedly lame. It’s mildly entertaining. The fashion is fun. The school seems pretty awesome. And some of the boys are cute. (I’m a perv.) … But I’m not about to push Beverly Hills on you if you’ve sworn it off … or if you’re not a fan … or if you’re too loyal to the original. I will try, however, to convince you to watch the show that comes on afterwards. Cheesy, over-the-top, silly, corny … Yes, yes, yes, yes! I love Privileged.

The show is about a bright-eyed college grad who takes a job tutoring two bratty, spoiled richie-rich sisters in Palm Spring. It’s not a genius, brand-new concept. It’s something we’ve seen a thousand times. But nevertheless it’s fun and colorful and cute.

P.S. I LOVE the show’s leading lady: JoAnna Garcia … (You might recognize her from the way-too-short-lived series, Reba. I watch re-runs of that show EVERYDAY. I’m not ashamed. It’s so good.)

Bree denies that there’s a Mr. Van de Kamp during a radio interview much to Orson’s dismay. He becomes more and more aggravated as she focuses on work and neglects her home life. She promises him his favorite pot roast as an apology … but when she returns home elated and exhausted from a successfully catered event after midnight, and can’t muster up the energy to whip up a home-cooked meal, Orson turns downright mean and demanding. Poor Bree hovers over the stove chopping carrots and silently sobbing at 1 o’clock in the morning.

Susan’s new boyfriend Jackson spends some quality time with mike. The two become insta-best friends.

Lynette tries to get some insight into her son’s secretive life. She decides to create a fake profile and impersonate a fictional high-school girl on a MySpace-esque website, hoping her son will share with her. He shares a little too much – he has a huge internet crush on her. Soon enough, Mom’s identity is revealed.

Gabrielle and Carlos get uninvited from the season’s most anticipated event. Carlos took a job as a masseuse at the country club … and it seems that the high-and-might rich folk can’t be associated with “the help.”

Edie’s hubby continues to be sketchy.
