The movie follows a charged love affair between Linda (Michelle Pfeiffer) and Walter (Ashton Kutcher), who meet in a Victims Support Group. Linda has lost her husband to violent crime, while the man they believe murdered Walters sister is currently on trial. As their relationship grows, Walter becomes a father-figure to Linda’s teen son, and when the prime suspect accused of killing Walters sister is found not guilty, Linda’s son is determined to get justice and revenge for Walter. The problem is — the prime suspect in the murder may not have been the killer at all.

Personal Effects airs on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 9 PM on Lifetime.
