Happy New Year! We hope you had a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday vacation. Now, back to work! This year, I decided to make a few entertainment-related resolutions … I do it all for the job! I have a feeling these won’t be so difficult to keep!

I Resolve to See More Movies
As an entertainment editor, I get invited to a lot of screenings. And I love, love, love the opportunity to see movies for free … and for work!!! But often I’m too busy at the office to go or it’s too cold outside or I need to get home to feed the dogs. In 2010, I resolve to take advantage. I resolve to attend more screenings. I resolve to go to the movies with friends. I resolve to use my on-demand button and watch all … or, you know most … of the promo DVDs I get from studios and PR companies … And I resolve to share my opinion on GlamBuzz.

I Resolve to Use My DVR a Lot
In 2010, I resolve to DVR all my favorite shows and watch them at my own convenience. I resolve not to skip the gym for Gossip Girl, Glee, or Modern Family. I resolve to save all the final season episodes of Lost so I can watch them over and over and over again and pick up on all the little nuances and subtleties. I resolve not to believe that this time love will prevail on The Bachelor. I resolve not to fall for it every time How I Met Your Mother tricks me into thinking we’ve finally met “the mother.”

I Resolve to Listen to New Music
This one is really a toughie for me. I’m the first to admit that I’m not a big music buff. I will hear a six-month old song for the first time, and think it’s brand new … so, I resolve to listen to the radio in my car instead of my usual CDs. It’s a start!

I Resolve to Use My Wii Fit Plus
Even though it told me my Wii age was 40 … I will get back up on that balance board and master those tricky poses. And then I’ll reward my efforts with a game of Super Mario Bros.

I Will See More Broadway Shows
I live in New York City. I really have no excuse. Why can’t I wait in line for a cheap ticket to see Wicked, Billy Elliot, or West Side Story? I can … and I will!
… What are your entertainment resolutions?
