Glam recently chatted with Christina Milian about motherhood, music, and more.

What inspires you in terms of your music?
Fashion. And the ’80s inspires my music. Prince, Phil Collins, Madonna, and Janet and Michael Jackson. The list goes on. Lyrically, any- and everything going on in my life inspires me.

What inspires you in everyday life?
My daughter and her love. I want to be a good example to her. I’m also inspired by the dream I had as a child to be a successful performer and entrepreneur.

What are you most proud of in your life?
My ability to triumph over any obstacle set in my path. A lot of people suffer form speaking negativity into existence. But I have always been able to keep a positive attitude. I have a balanced life, and I’m proud to be the mom I am to Violet.

Name three things that are on your bucket list.
See all the wonders of the world. Travel to Cuba and learn my ancestry. Own a monkey.

Who are your style muses?
Kanye West and Gwen Stefani.

What do you have coming up in terms of your music and acting career?
I’m currently in the studio. I’m about halfway through my album. I’m now the social-media correspondent for NBC’s The Voice and will be on the show all season. you can also watch my behind-the-scenes content on NBC.com

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Shoes and food. I love trying new food.

Favorite vacation spot?
Ibiza.

What’s on your holiday wish list?
I don’t know. I would like to go on a nice vacation with my family – maybe a cruise. Can you wrap that up in a present?
