Keith Urban Brings the Country Spirit to Atlantic City

Atlantic City may not be the expected venue for country fans to converge, but amidst the roulette tables and poker games, Keith Urban brought a bit of southern love to the Jersey State.  For a whirlwind 24 hours, Glam took up residence at The Water Club in the Borgata for a night of Japanese delights, country tunes, and late night adventures.

After checking into our room and indulging in truffle fries and a celebratory glass of champagne, we primped and preened for a night on the town, Borgata style. First up was dinner at Izakaya, which turned out to be an event all on its own.  Chef Michael Schulson delighted our palettes with a (seemingly) endless array of tasty morsels – spicy tuna crackers, beef short ribs, edamame dumplings, and peking duck breast to name just a few. With full bellies and increasing excitement, we tucked into a cup of coffee and smores dessert, indulging in a sugar rush to prep for a night of crooning from Keith Urban.

From dinner, it was off to the concert venue, which was perfectly intimate given the sheer size of the hotel. Over the next hour, Keith delighted his fans with a selection of his greatest hits, leading to a sing-a-long and even venturing into the crowd to only further the exclusive feel. As the evening waned on, everyone got into the country spirit – even the most seasoned city dwellers, proving Keith’s crooning power.
