Taylor Swift has taken over the entertainment industry one heartfelt love song at a time. But it’s her sweet girly style that’s landed her the February cover of Vogue. In the fashionable pages, the country crooner opens up about feeling like an outsider in school and how her music dreams helped her to stop caring. “I think that happened as soon as I left school, when I was sixteen, because then all that mattered was music and this dream that I’d had my whole life,” she explained. “I remember straightening my hair because I wanted to be like everybody else, and now the fact that anybody would emulate what I do? It’s just funny. And wonderful.”

And don’t expect her to fall into the same habits that other stars have. The self-aware star is always trying to stay one step ahead. “I fret about the future,” she said. “What my next move should be. What the move after that should be. How am I going to sustain this. How do I evolve. I over-analyze myself into being a big bag of worries.”

One of our biggest dreams was to someday attend an awards show, and thanks to Post’s Honey Bunches of Oats, we got to fulfill it by going to the People’s Choice Awards. You can imagine our reaction to receiving the invitation. PJ Gach of Betty Confidential would also be a guest on the trip along with the awesome reps of the cereal brand. You didn’t have to tell us twice as we started immediately creating a mental packing list.

During the early morning flight from the Big Apple to the Sunshine State, we munched on some Honey Bunches of Oats with Cinnamon Bunches. We were given a guided tour of Southern California by our driver on the way to the JW Marriott Los Angeles at L.A. Live located next to the Nokia Theater. One of the reps of Honey Bunches of Oats greeted us in the lobby and all of us went to lunch at the Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grille where we had truffled potato chips and ricotta gnocchi with Italian sausage bolognese before we started snooping around the red carpet. Though we were early for all the action, we spotted seat fillers dressed to the nines milling about the venue.

We were then quickly whisked away to the Ritz-Carlton Spa for a Hollywood makeover. With voluminous waves and dramatic smoky eyes, we were set to stun. As we made our way inside the theater, we were in shock over where our seats were– only ten rows away from the stage! Honey Bunches of Oats sponsored the “Favorite New TV Comedy” and “Favorite New TV Drama” category through its Honey Bunches of Votes campaign. The brand had sweepstakes winners attend the event and even pulled some fans from the red carpet with tickets for the show! We couldn’t help but give everyone the play-by-play on Twitter after each award and performance. We spotted Gene Simmons’ family arriving after Demi Lovato’s performance of “Give Your Heart a Break” and leaving before the show ended while Busy Phillips chatted with Carrie Preston in the aisles. Ian Somerhalder mingled with rotating seat fillers during all of the commercial breaks. Maya Rudolph took time to snap a few photos with some young fans before Bridesmaids won “Favorite Comedy Movie.”

After the last bit of confetti was picked out of our hair, we headed back to PJ’s room to relax before dinner. We first ordered a tea service with bowls, milk and spoons for our pre-dinner snack: Honey Bunches of Oats Peach and Raspberry Fruit Blend cereal. Dinner reservations were made at Katsuya, which was only a small walk from the hotel where we sipped sake, sampled the sushi and sashimi and kept an eye out for any stars.

We awoke the next day wondering if the night before had all been a dream. During breakfast, PJ noted that the trip felt like camp – bonding for such a small time only to go our separate ways. My one night in L.A. with Honey Bunches of Oats was one I’ll never forget; and after snacking on that peach and raspberry cereal, we now have a new go-to snack we’ll be sharing with everyone…as long as I can still grab a handful before the box is empty.

Glam recently chatted with Christina Milian about motherhood, music, and more.
Here’s what she had to say.

What inspires you in terms of your music?
Fashion. And the ’80s inspires my music. Prince, Phil Collins, Madonna, and Janet and Michael Jackson. The list goes on. Lyrically, any- and everything going on in my life inspires me.

What inspires you in everyday life?
My daughter and her love. I want to be a good example to her. I’m also inspired by the dream I had as a child to be a successful performer and entrepreneur.

What are you most proud of in your life?
My ability to triumph over any obstacle set in my path. A lot of people suffer form speaking negativity into existence. But I have always been able to keep a positive attitude. I have a balanced life, and I’m proud to be the mom I am to Violet.

Name three things that are on your bucket list.
See all the wonders of the world. Travel to Cuba and learn my ancestry. Own a monkey.

Who are your style muses?
Kanye West and Gwen Stefani.

What do you have coming up in terms of your music and acting career?
I’m currently in the studio. I’m about halfway through my album. I’m now the social-media correspondent for NBC’s The Voice and will be on the show all season. you can also watch my behind-the-scenes content on NBC.com

What’s your guilty pleasure?
Shoes and food. I love trying new food.

Favorite vacation spot?
Ibiza.

What’s on your holiday wish list?
I don’t know. I would like to go on a nice vacation with my family – maybe a cruise. Can you wrap that up in a present?

From the Knockout (Mila Kunis) to the Breakout (Michael Fassbender), the Showmen ( Justin Timberlake & Jimmy Fallon) to the King (Jay-Z), GQ is launching a series of new covers for the month of December. Also, King of the Year, Jay-Z, sat down with GQ for a rare interview to discuss Kanye’s perfectionism, his own father, and fitting a car seat into the Maybach.

Jay-Z on Kanye’s obsessing over microdetails during the recording of the album:
“I think he just can’t help himself,” Jay says. “He puts so much into everything, and he’s like, ‘You have to treat it like I treat it.’ It drives you crazy sometimes—like when you’ve put seventy-five versions of a snare on one song and he’s like, ‘No!’ and you’re like, ‘Come on, man.’ ”

…on his father leaving and how that affected him:
“If your dad died before you were born, yeah, it hurts—but it’s not like you had a connection with something that was real,” Jay says. “Not to say it’s any better—but to have that connection and then have it ripped away was, like, the worst. My dad was such a good dad that when he left, he left a huge scar. He was my superhero.”

“[I talked about] what it did to me, what it meant, asked him why. There was no real answer. There was nothing he could say, because there’s no excuse for that. There really isn’t. So there was nothing he could say to satisfy me, except to hear me out. And it was up to me to forgive and let it go.”

…on their (he and wife Beyonce) decision to announce their baby at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards:
“It was actually Bey who wanted to [announce] it,” Jay says. “You want to be in control of your life.”

…Jay-Z, when asked if he’ll be putting a car seat in the Maybach:
“Yeah,” Jay smiles. “Wouldn’t that be great? That would be a great picture.”

As stated on the website, www.btfconcerts.com, where you can find all information pertaining to this event, “Many schools in New York have been faced with major budget cuts and have been at risk of having music departments cut all together.”

Dion Roy currently resides in Manhattan and is looking forward to playing this show. “I couldn’t imagine not having music while I was in school! I was in chorus in high school all four years, and I don’t see music as being optional in the school system. Music is everywhere, and there are just so many benefits to having access to it,” he said.

This show has been rescheduled for Friday, November 18th at 7:30 p.m.. Ticket prices range between $35 and $75 dollars. With the tickets for $75 you have the opportunity to attend a VIP Pre-Party to celebrate the launch of BTF Concerts.

Go and support this great cause and listen to great musicians.

The darling of the music industry is once again cancelling shows due to throat problems. On her blog, Adele wrote “Guys, I’m heartbroken and worried to tell you that yet again I’m experiencing problems with my voice… I follow all the advice I’m given and stick to regimes, rules, and practices to the best of my ability but it seems to simply not be enough.” It’s apparently gotten so bad that she now will have to undergo surgery to fix her throat problems.

So what ailment is the singer facing that requires such drastic measures? When the news first surfaced, fans and many in the media automatically believed the 23-year-old singer’s problem could be as serious as throat cancer. Thankfully, Adele’s spokesperson is dispelling those rumors and pointing the problem to a hemorrhaged vocal chord.

Now that Adele has cancelled the rest of her U.S. shows and the six performances and appearances she was scheduled to make in the U.K., hopefully she can fully recover and soon get to work on another brilliant album.

Within just a few days of one another, two of the biggest pop stars in the world released music videos for their newest songs: Britney Spears’ “Criminal” and Beyonce’s “Love on Top.” How do they compare with one another? Well for starters, they are completely different.

Britney Spears’ fourth music video from Femme Fatale is a remake (of sorts) of Bonnie and Clyde. Brit starts the video with a rich snobby boyfriend who hurts her and calls her names. But she is quickly rescued by a good-looking, mysterious man who turns out to be a criminal. And I’m sure the rest is easy to figure out.

Even with the obvious plot line, the Britney’s signature touch is evident throughout the video: controversial steamy scenes — this time with her real-life boyfriend Jason Trawick.

This epic mini-film definitely has impressive production values. Spears is clearly having fun with her songs again and it really shows in both this video and the full Femme Fatale album.

Beyoncé has also released her fourth single off her newest album 4. “Love on Top” fits Queen B’s personality perfectly; with her marriage to Jay-Z and the announcement of her pregnancy.

The video strips Beyoncé of expensive sets and a complicated storyline. It’s just Beyoncé with a microphone, standing in only a leotard and a hat. There are some fun throwbacks to old eras of the past but the change in the video fits the song which is itself a throwback to 80s up-tempo ballads from greats like Stevie Wonder and Whitney Houston.

Some are calling the video a remake of the “If It Isn’t Love” video from the 80s group New Edition. But the only similarities we at Glam see is the setting of both videos. If anything, “Love on Top” is an homage to New Edition’s hit. Beyoncé’s new single shows off her amazing voice and it is yet another hit off her surprisingly eclectic album.

The new videos are perfect examples of why these divas are so popular, so it’s too hard to judge which is better. But what we can say for sure is that we cannot wait to see what each does next.

There’s nothing like seeing live music in an intimate setting — it makes the performance more personal to the artist and their audience. The multi-talented Tia Carrere and six-time Grammy winner Daniel Ho will be performing a concert at Rocketfish Lounge in the Potrero Hill area of San Francisco tomorrow night. They’re bringing a bit of their Hawaiian roots with them as renowned chef Kenichi Kawashima is preparing a feast of Hawaiian and Japanese tapas for the audience to enjoy. The sounds, smells and tastes of the island will make for a perfect evening getaway even if you can’t catch a flight.
