Emmy Awards 2007: The Best Dressed List
By G J Donnelly September 16,2007
Nominee #1: Heidi Klum. This is what DIY-style looks like when you’re an uber-successful supermodel. Sure the dress is Dior Couture but the she made the earrings. No joke. The look speaks to her elegance and entrepreneurial skills. A+ Miss Klum. Nominee #2: Debra Messing. There’s something to be said for staying true to one’s personal style. Take the Ralph Lauren-clad Miss Messing for example. At last year’s Emmy Awards she wore a similar ensemble: White tiered strapless dress, diamond cuff, little clutch, arms-out-pose. She knows better than to mess with a good thing (Except Deb—where’d that smile go?). Nominee #3: Eva Longoria. While Longoria clearly loves the spotlight, she’s clever enough to opt for a unique dress by an under-the-radar label for high-profile occasion like this. The newly-married actress shimmers in a Kaufman Franco dress—made by New York design duo Ken Kaufman and Isaac Franco who sell their carefully constructed pieces at elite stores like Jeffrey—which compliments her glittering 248-diamond Jean Dousset engagement ring. Nominee #4: Marcia Cross knows that you can’t make a statement on the red carpet unless you take a fashion risk. Her unusual color combo choice—turquoise gems with a pale pink George Chakra gown—works because she keeps everything else clean and simple.

Ooh, good choices! I adored Eva Longoria’s sequined dress and I applaud her for opting for a shorter dress– she really stood out in the crowd.
I also loved Hayden Panettiere’s dress. I know, a controversial choice. But, I think she was adorable and very age appropriate.
Heidi Klum’s gown is perfect for the Emmy’s a fabulous choice–and good for her with those homemade earrings, they’re beautiful!
Yes I agree, Heidi Klumm is the favorite.
I like her gorgeous style which is looking simple but elegant.
She has style !
Great choices! In my opinion, all the the choices are winners, but I have to go with Heidi Klums cranberry gown–old Hollywood glamour meets new millenium style!
Surely you’re kidding about Jenna Fischer, right? I mean, I love her, but she looks like she’s wearing a garbage bag with a bow tied to it. Yick.
Klum has to be the favorite, that’s an amazing dress.
Keep Heidi Klum, ditch all the rest! I wonder why you put them in that list anyway! They’re very low class….
Heidi looks amazing, (Seal too!) that dress falls on her waist and hips just beautifully, the color is perfect with her complexion, and her bare shoulders are way too tempting. I’d like to nominate Ellen Pompeo wearing Michael Kors, Ali Larter in her red Reem Acra dress and Katherine Heigl sporting Zac Posen to that list.
I really love Heidi Klum. She has style! Eva Longoria looks very good also in that gorgeos dress and I appreciate her because she doesn’t have to many jewleres.
is it just me or does eva resemble a roach-she is like 2 feet tall and why did he marry her-also maricas forhead looks like an armour plate has anyone noticed that-its the era of woman with big facial parts-or witherspoons huge weird chin-I mean all i can see is that damn chin no matter what part she plays-
debra messing you go girl keep on doing your thing
Heidi Klum is the style!hehe
my favourite is Heidi Clum. She looked very simple(thanks to her hairstyle),yet stylish & not to forget her supermodel body.
