Few mortals can hold a candle to Elle Macpherson. International supermodel, mother of two, and successful lingerie designer are just a few of the impressive titles she’s earned—and oh yeah, she just happens to be drop-dead gorgeous to boot. Hoping to uncover an everyday Jane beneath her Aphrodite-like exterior, we pose a few intimate questions to the talented Miss Macpherson. (Spoiler alert: Turns out she’s the glamorous, yet down-to-earth globe-trotter we all thought she was.) GlamChic: How many sets of underwear do you own?
EM: I wear all my designs - there are too many sets to count!

What do you think the most important aspect is about a bra and why?
A bra that makes you feel good when you put it on first thing in the morning is important - it is all about feeling great, being comfortable in a well fitted bra and looking great.

What’s the best way to store lingerie?
I prefer to store my lingerie in a drawer, according to style and colour, so I can make a quick selection to compliment my clothing.

What’s your favorite style of the current EM Intimates line & why?
“Dentelle” is one of my favorites; it is decadent mix of French lace and soft cotton, with intricate detailing and vintage styling. I adore its timeless elegance.

Other than fine lingerie, what are some of your favorite little luxuries?
Cashmere, time to myself, a smile from my boys and first class travel (if possible)!

What’s one of the most romantic places you’ve visited & what makes that location so special?
Ningaloo Reef, a virtually untouched area in Western Australia, a beautiful haven of clear, tropical waters an endless blue sky.

What was one of your childhood nicknames & how did you get it?
Too embarrassed to say!

What’s your favorite time of the day & why?
I live in the moment so theoretically every time is perfect. Having said that, I am partial to sunrise.

Are you a coffee or tea drinker?
Lemongrass tea from Chiva Som.

Describe what your ideal Saturday would be like.
Time with the boys surfing at the beach, followed by a decadent meal with family and close friends.

What’s the last great book you’ve read?
‘Why I Write’ by George Orwell and ‘The Female Brain’ Louann Brizendine.

Of all the arts which is your favorite & why?
I am interested in Architecture – structure and design fascinate me. I’m also interested and invest in contemporary art.

What’s currently playing on your ipod?
Bosa Nova, The Stones Remix, Sticky Fingers, Paulo Nutini, Ray la Montagne, Jeff Beck, Leonard Cohen, Jeff Buckley, Charlotte Gainsbourg

What are some of your favorite beauty products?
I have many from my collection Elle Macpherson The Body, available at Boots UK. One would be Brown Sugar Poliish. It’s a pure ‘miracle worker’ for your skin Natural brown sugar exfoliates whilst calming oils revitalise and soften.

If you were stranded on a desert island, what 3 things would you bring with you?
My two boys, ‘The Meditations’ By Marcus Aurelius book and ‘Harry Potter’ for the boys.
