The fashion this season is to die for. I am thrilled especially with the ruffles and great color choices, so much more variety than what there was a few seasons ago. I'm hoping this stuff sells really well so the buyers can continue to bring it to us.

Eww. The only reason I'm here is for my textiles coursework, and I don't really think that I will be rushing to the shops to buy anything like this at all. Except the Neons of course, as I'm a neon fan anyways.

I love some of these trends. Particularly the Lingerie inspired, the White Pantsuits, the one shouldered dressed and the artsy prints. Visit my new blog at http://fatalfashionattraction.blogspot.com/
to find ebay deals on some of these trends for only a fraction of the cost.

The point is take bits and pieces of these trends
incorporate them in to your style
and then the trends are wearable
and btw nude is the worst trend ever.
It looks awful on 90% of the population

Ugh! These trends are, in a word, horrendous. I mean seriously, tie-dye and "art class" prints?! Disgusting! I agree with K about the ruffles - it's time to move on. After several seasons of empire waists and flowing tops, I think it's time for a little structure. I'm hoping for 1940s Hollywood-inspired lines, with updates of classic items like vests and trenches. That's what I plan on rockin' this spring. ;)

For those who think these "unwearable styles" do not benefit our everyday style, keep in mind that these current trends will be incorporated into everyday clothing syles offered this spring. Keep your eyes open when shopping this spring season. Realistically its all a chain reaction. Whats born on the runway (stylewise) will eventually end up in KMART. So next time youre at the mall or department store and see a little black dress with a drop waist or a blazer in a bright color or a skirt with some ruffles, think back to spring fashion week and this article. You dont have to copy cat or replicate what you see. Take what you witnessed and incorporate it into what you already have or create something fresh utilizing what you witnessed/learned. This is what makes one a trendsetter not follower.

I LOVE the new looks for Spring... I'm going out to go shop for new clothes now! Sarah, you have a good point-normal people don't wear outfits like that. But you need to remember that fashion shows always exaggerate the hottest trends so it's obvious what the designers are trying to show off. There's more casual items shown for the "everyday person" from all these same designers. Happy Shopping!
