These trends are, in a word, horrendous. I mean seriously, tie-dye and "art class" prints?! Disgusting! I agree with K about the ruffles - it's time to move on. After several seasons of empire waists and flowing tops, I think it's time for a little structure. I'm hoping for 1940s Hollywood-inspired lines, with updates of classic items like vests and trenches. That's what I plan on rockin' this spring. ;) Ugh! These trends are, in a word, horrendous. So next time youre at the mall or department store and see a little black dress with a drop waist or a blazer in a bright color or a skirt with some ruffles, think back to spring fashion week and this article. You dont have to copy cat or replicate what you see. Take what you witnessed and incorporate it into what you already have or create something fresh utilizing what you witnessed/learned. But you need to remember that fashion shows always exaggerate the hottest trends so it's obvious what the designers are trying to show off.
