Designers Phillip Lim and Richard Chai

The fashion industry gets a bad rap for being filled with competitive, paranoid, she and he-devils. That’s why it’s always nice to see random acts of kindness in the VIP style scene (and no, I’m not talking about the big Unicef-Gucci bonanza that’s taking place at the United Nations right now). Today at Richard Chai’s show, Phillip Lim sat in the front row as a sign of support and friendship for his fellow designer. (Lim gave an approving nod to Chai’s cashmere and jodphur’s ensemble.) An hour later, Chai did the same for Lim.
