Fashion Week Poker Faces

Though the camera flashes that surround them might lead you to believe otherwise, fashion week’s front-rowers have it tough. First there’s the pressure of picking the right outfit (a process which can stress out even the most accomplished trendsetter, i.e. Chloe Sevigny) for all to see, then there’s the guilt of having to ditch one’s minder just as the lights go down (just ask Eliza Dushku; her sock-hat wearing brother was always forced to sit in the gate-crashing intern section).

But the real trial is trying to perfect and maintain dead-pan expression throughout the sometimes laborious runway spectacles. During particularly bad shows (and yes, there were a few this season) fashion week virgins give themselves away with their Yay or Nay glances, while industry legends barely flinch from their impenetrable gaze. (Maybe it’s the Botox?) Though the week’s festivities are not yet over, here’s a re-cap of the most professional poker faces seen thus far:
