Liya Kedebe, Stefano Pilati, Flavia de Oliveira, and Mariacarla Boscono at the YSL store opening bash
While the days are filled with défilé after défilé (runway shows, en français) the nights are filled with—what else?—a slew of store openings. Last night, a few VIP names toasted to Stefano Pilati at Yves Saint Laurent’s new Saint Sulpice outpost. As to be expected, a fresh off-the-rack number from YSL S/S 08 was the party look of choice, with Racquel Zimmerman taking home the Effortless, Age-Appropriate Style Award.

Tonight, globe-trotting party-boy Roberto Cavalli will open the doors to his new Just Cavalli boutique. Festivities are expected to stay tame at the Saint Honoré shop, but will turn a more raucous when the clock strikes ten, and the demimonde heads to Paris’ famed burlesque club, the Crazy Horse for a “special performance.” (85% chance that this event will include a little animal print action and a lot of skin, but stay tuned for more.)
Thursday’s Givenchy cocktail gathering—which will also take place on Saint-Honoré—should more decorous in comparison, considering Ricardo Tischi’s somber, sophisticated taste. And of course, it’s not fashion week if Lagerfeld isn’t throwing down. On Friday, Great White and his followers will christen Fendi’s new Avenue Montaigne address with a few hundred cocktails, from 9pm till Cinderella hour. We’ll see how well everyone will last…
