*NEW FAVORITE ALERT!!*
When Style.com recognized Alexandr Terexov as one of the “Ten Most Talented to Watch” for his Spring/Summer 2007 collection, they couldn’t have been more spot on (in my modest opinion). Hailing from a small town in Russia, now inspired by “the energy of New York,” Terexov is known for his classic, modern, tailored yet very feminine style. This year’s Spring 2009 collection was totally off the map. Terexov presented a genius combination of elements such as multicolor world map print silk, metallic multicolor fringe (aka. a wall map post run-in with a paper shredder), and leather briefcases, that made his models seem more like jet-setting world travelers, than New York Fashion Week eye candy–or perhaps they were both.
Any more seats available in first class? I’m so along for the ride. - Alexandra Goldstein
