It’s pouring outside but all I can think of is “Get me to a beach!” At the Rosa Cha show, Calypso music played as the crowd gathered in the tent. Later Brazilian music filled the atmosphere as the models stepped out in pieces fit for a day at the shore, or just to look fabulous at a pool party.

The swimsuits from Rosa Cha’s Spring 2009 collection did not disappoint. Bright oranges, greens, whites, and more subdued browns made up the color palette. There were bandeau bikinis as well as corseted and strapless one pieces that were dressed up with cutouts, fun color blocks, and Swarovski crystals.

The cover-ups could pass for party dresses in their bold green print. It really felt like we had been transported to the beaches of Brazil, no matter how much it was raining outside. – Melissa Lockhart
