As the models in Carlos Miele’s Spring 2009 presentation strutted down the catwalk, they looked like they were ready to dance.  As they made their way down the catwalk, Brazilian singer Seu Jorge performed live, adding to the party atmosphere.  Miele presented a collection of vibrant blues and greens, bold reds, and sophisticated blacks and whites.

The pieces in the collection were soft and feminine.  Miele used lots of shapes, playing with asymmetric necklines, pleats, ruffles, and lace details.  The accessories added a bit of harshness to the outfits.  Each dress was accessorized with broaches and bracelets made from topaz, aquamarine and black stone.  I said the women looked like they were ready to dance.  And they were.  They just might be the girl that pulls the fly guy onto the dance floor.  -Melissa Lockhart
