The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) is offering a limited edition tee designed by Betsey Johnson to benefit Fashion Targets Breast Cancer (FTBC). All the proceeds from each t-shirt will then be donated to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, breastcancer.org, the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, and the Young Survival Coalition. Betsey Johnson is the first designer invited to create an FTBC tee since Ralph Lauren originally designed the blue-on-blue bullseye logo in 1994. The shirt is 100% cotton and is made by American Apparel. (That means sweatshop free!) The back left shoulder features a comic book style self-portrait of the designer saying “Have courage girlfriend! XOX Betsey.” You can purchase the Betsey tee at the Plaza Retail Collection in the Plaza Hotel in NYC as well as at www.cfda.com.
