We let you in on a sneak peek of what to look forward to for the holiday windows at Barneys and now we have the real thing! With the help of students from the East Harlem school, Simon Doonan’s holiday spirit, and Tom Brokaw’s book Boom! The Voices of the Sixties, the ribbon was cut Sunday night unveiling their hippie holiday. Adorned with “ladies of the counter culture”, gorgeous gowns courtesy of Ralph Lauren, Derek Lam, and Calvin Klein, and a window solely dedicated to the East Harlem students’ own artwork celebrating the 50th anniversary of the peace sign, this holiday season won’t be forgotten thanks to the hip windows gracing Madison Avenue. It’s no wonder we look forward to the holidays each year. ~ Erin Dustin
