Fashion and music always seem to harmonize beautifully, so it’s no surprise that three jaw-dropping creations were brought to us in 2008…a true blend of style and sound that have fashionable rockers around the globe in awe. Even non-musical types are adding these to their holiday wish lists. (Someone should phone Vivienne Westwood!)

Hermès

Famed fashion house Hermès was commissioned to design a one-of-a-kind luxe case for Eric Clapton. The finished product was decked in brown croc skin and lined with blue silk velvet. The guitar case is said to be around $100,000. Pocket change.

Chanel

This white quilted leather case debuted at the Chanel Spring 09 runway collection. It’s the ultimate Chanel accessory. When asked about the musical addition to his show Lagerfeld explained, “Coco Chanel had an affair with Stravinsky, mine was with a guitar.”

Louis Vuitton

 Timeless and chic; the logo covered case was made exclusively for the Rolling Stones’ guitarist.  The campaign featuring Keith Richards was shot by Annie Leibovitz with a caption that read “Some journeys cannot be put into words. New York 3 a.m. Blues in C.”
