In downtown NYC last night, amidst the rain and rather harsh winter conditions, the Stephen Weiss studio was abuzz for the launch of Australian photographer Russell James’ new book featuring a collection of stunning photographs. Featuring natural elements, fashion, beauty, and celebrity portraits, the book Russell James celebrates the accomplished work of an amazing artist. From Donna Karan (who wrote a foreword specifically for this book) and Alan Cumming to Erin Wasson’s tattoo talk (her next one is of a horse) and Alessandra Ambrosio’s Valentine’s Day plans (she’ll be working), the gorgeous space quickly filled up just in time for an ethereal bongo performance and to give much praise to a great talent. ~ Erin Dustin
